Who is the API designed for?
We created our Source API suite for larger-scale textbook buyers who want to introduce a level of automation and reporting into their textbook sourcing with Valore Marketplace that goes beyond what is possible within the Source user portal.
How should I determine pricing for my buy guide?
We strongly recommend using the "Get Suggested Bid Price API" to set your buy guide prices. This API will tell you what the most competitive price for a given ISBN is currently in the global online buyback marketplace.
Please note: because of changing marketplace dynamics, this suggested bid price is likely to change from day to day. Click here for more tips on optimizing pricing within Source.
What will I ultimately be charged for each Source order?
You will be charged the bid price that you specified on your buy guide. Except for shipping costs from our warehouse to your receiving facility, there are no additional fees or costs associated with Source.
What if I have multiple guides I want to source for?
If you have multiple buy guides you wish to source for and the shipping address for each guide is the same, you can source for these guides within the same account. If you need orders for one guide to be completed earlier than the other, simply input an earlier expiration date for all ISBNs (and corresponding quantities) on that guide.

What is the best way to make changes to my active buy guide?
To make changes to your active buy guide, we recommend using the "Modify Bid API". You can also use the "Upload New Buy Guide Process", but please note that doing so will purge and replace your current buy guide.
When will my list expire?
You can set different expiration dates for individual ISBNs on your buy guide. If you are looking to buy 12 copies of a certain ISBN and wish to set one expiration date for 6 of those copies and another expiration date for the remaining 6 copies, that is also possible. Once your expiration date has passed, we will stop creating new orders for those particular ISBNs. Please keep in mind that once an order is placed, it may take up to 3 weeks for us to receive, process, and ship that order to you.
When will I know for sure what orders I am going to get from the Valore Marketplace?
You can use the "Get Item Details API" at anytime to check the status of individual items within your orders. Any items that have an approved status are in our warehouse and ready to be shipped to you.
